It is music that can stretch out.” ~ George BensonGeorge Benson is no stranger to Indonesia and gave yet another amazing performance in Jakarta at the seventh Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival. On Sunday 6th March special performance, where he collaborated with an Indonesian orchestra.
Benson demonstrated his special ability on scatting with his guitar tunes. Such hits like “Turn Your Love Around”, “Kisses In The Moonlight”, “Lady Love Me (One More Time)”, “Give Me The Night”, the classic “Moody’s Mood For Love”, the everlasting ballad “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” and more.
He told the story of how a young girl told him in New York that she would sing his song Greatest Love of All’’ and went on to do so. That girl was Whitney Houston. Then he proceeded to wow the audience with his lovely honey golden voice and amazing guitar skills
The show concluded with his Give Me the Night song.
It was an enchanting evening and one of Benson’s best performances.
